Stranger Things is a pop culture phenomenon worldwide. However, Season 4 had been delayed for years due to the pandemic, leaving fans restless and with high expectations for the new season.

Thus, for the new season launch, our strategy was focused on activating only the most dedicated fans, immersing them in the world of the show, generating enough conversation and excitement to spread the message to the mainstream public.

To kick off this major SOS call, we seized the opportunity provided by the already-produced trailer scheduled to air during one of the nation's most-watched TV shows—the Big Brother Brazil finale.

We incorporated just one simple detail that is also closely tied to the plot of the new season.

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF HAWKINS

A few days later, we took advantage on a naturally unfolding phenomenon in the real world to keep fans engage by resurrecting a hit from the time of the series while also subtly embedding a cry for help.

Furthermore, to deepen the engagement of Brazilian fans, the video featured Portuguese subtitles that provided not only a literal translation but also contextualized the content with Brazilian humor.

The Reward

After join in this battle, fans deserved a unique reward, so we designed something from 1986 reimagined for today. A floppy disk containing a set of Stranger-Things-inspired NFTs with sole ownership of the asset. Only 11 exclusive units for the first 11 fans who watched the new episodes and completed a trivia test.
